Using Bankruptcy Data
Updated over a week ago

What is Bankruptcy Data?

PropertyRadar now includes comprehensive bankruptcy data, providing valuable insights for real estate professionals. This data is sourced from bankruptcy court records, which are linked to property owners rather than the properties themselves. With this new feature, you can match property owners to their full address as listed in the bankruptcy documents.

Using Bankruptcy Data in PropertyRadar

Use Divorce Criteria in Search

  1. From the Main Menu, click Discover and select Add Criteria

  2. Select Owner Details from the list of criteria options

  3. Select Bankruptcy

  4. Choose from In Bankruptcy, Bankruptcy Status, Bankruptcy Recording Date, Bankruptcy Chapter, or Bankruptcy District

Quickly Identify Owners with Bankruptcies using Bankruptcy Signals

To help quickly identify properties linked to Bankrupt owners, PropertyRadar has introduced Bankruptcy Signals:

  • Signals will be displayed in property profiles.

  • Signals will also be attached to the Contact Card for any relevant properties.

  • Notes will also be displayed under the Contact Card for the owner.

There are two types of Bankruptcy Signals:

  • Person Bankruptcy Signal:

    • This Signal is visible if the individual associated with the property has an active bankruptcy.

  • Property Bankruptcy Signal:

    • This Signal is set to true if any person who is an owner (including owners and trustees, but not principals or other related parties) of the property has an active bankruptcy.
