You can easily unlock the email addresses and phone numbers for a contact, to view and export for your business needs. The number of unlocks for phones and emails included, depends on your subscription. Review your subscription plans information for included phone and emails:

Unlocking Phone and Emails in the App

You can unlock phones and emails separately; unlock one or both for a contact. Your availability to unlock is shown in the link for each, indicating how many total unlocks you have left of your plan for the billing cycle.

Each contact will have differences in data availability; some will have phone and email available for purchase, others may have only one or the other, while still others may have none available. Using many sources, PropertyRadar compiles the most complete picture we can; and all of the available email(s) or phone(s) are provided when you unlock that data. If phone numbers or email addresses aren't available for a contact, no unlock links or icons are provided.

There are several places from within the app (again, depending on your subscription) where you can unlock, or purchase, the phone number and email address for a contact:

Unlocks or Purchases

With the Actions Menus, Exports, and Automations, you will purchase phone & emails using a Purchase window. Within these windows you can choose to use your unlocks or not.

Something to keep in mind while planning the use of your unlocks, is that you can also use purchases to get email and phone numbers. Purchasing and unlocking phones and/or emails is basically the same thing.

Unlocks are a quick way of getting one-off contact data in the app, while purchases are often used for larger lists, exports, or automations. Or, for example, you want to make a purchase of 1000 emails for a client, and you don't want that to affect the unlocks available in your plan.

Overview Tab

To unlock phone and emails for a contact using the Overview Tab:

  1. Navigate to a Property and Owner Profile.

  2. Click the Overview Tab of the Property and Owner Profile to use the Contacts section links to unlock email addresses and phone numbers:

  3. In the Contact section, click a greyed-out phone or email icon to unlock that data:

    The popup shows how many email or phone unlocks you have left.

  4. In the popup, confirm that you want to use one of your unlocks for that contact by clicking the Unlock Email or Unlock Phone link.
    -The phone or email is then unlocked.
    - All of the available email(s) or phone(s) for a contact are provided when you unlock the data.

  5. If you click the Email and Phone icons in the Contacts section of the Overview Tab you can:
    - Open an email message addressed to the contact's primary email, or
    - View the phone number(s), and click to call

You can always view the unlocked data by clicking the Contacts Tab of the Profile.

Contacts Tab

You can also use the Contacts Tab to unlock phone and emails for a contact:

  1. Navigate to a Property and Owner Profile.

  2. Click the Contacts Tab in the Property and Owner Profile.

  3. The link for phone and/or email for a contact indicate how many unlocks you have left for the billing cycle. If you want to use your unlock(s), click Unlock Phone or Unlock Email - NOTE: there is no confirmation to use your unlock.
    The data is then shown for the contact.

  4. Click an email address to open a new email addressed to the contact. Click on a phone number to call the contact.

Cards

Using the Card View, you can easily see whether a contact has phone or email data available to unlock. If the phone or email icons are greyed-out, that indicates they are available to unlock.

To unlock phone or email in the Card View:

  1. Click the icon for the contact's phone or email you want.
    A popup shows how many email or phone unlocks you have left.

  2. In the popup, confirm that you want to use one of your unlocks for that contact by clicking the Unlock Email or Unlock Phone link.
    -The phone or email is then unlocked.
    - All of the available email(s) or phone(s) for a contact are provided when you unlock the data.

  3. If you click the unlocked Email and Phone icons in the card you can:
    - Open an email message addressed to the contact's primary email, or
    - View the phone number(s), and click to call

You can always view the unlocked data by clicking the Contacts Tab of the Profile.

Actions Menus

After finding properties and contacts in Discover, or from within a List you've already made, you can get the phone and/or email using the Actions menu. Use the following steps:

  1. From within Discover or a List View, select the ...Actions menu:


  2. Click the option to either Purchase Emails or Purchase Phones, depending on your needs.
    The Purchase Emails or Purchase Phones window is displayed (the email and phone windows work similarly):


  3. In the Contact to Unlock/Purchase section, you can select to purchase data for all contacts, or for only the Primary Contact.
    You'll often see the Quantity change in the Unlock/Purchase Summary section, indicating the difference between your All or Primary Contact selection.

  4. In the Unlock/Purchase Summary section, you can review what this purchase would include, as well as choose to use the unlocks/purchases that come with your subscription, or if you want to purchase these separately.

  5. To use your available balance of unlocks, make sure the checkbox is selected.

  6. Review the Total for your purchase, and make your selection of how to charge the purchase, if necessary.

  7. Check the box to accept that purchases of emails and phones is final and non-refundable.

  8. Click Purchase to unlock the emails or phones. Otherwise, click Cancel if you want to make changes before purchasing.
    After clicking Purchase, the data is then available for your to view and use.

Exports

When you export phones and emails, you can Export to File or Export to Zapier. The steps below explain when you select Export to File; for the specific steps when using Export to Zapier, see Manual Export to Zapier. Although you can get an understanding of unlocking phones and emails with export below.

After finding the contacts you want, you can export the phone and/or email using the following steps:

  1. From the ...Actions menu, select Export to File.
    The Select Fields to Export window is displayed.

  2. You can either select an Export Field Set with the pre-defined email field(s) and/or phone field(s) you want; or you can Create a New Field Set with the fields you need, to set up your phone/email export.

  3. Click Continue when you're satisfied with your field set. Otherwise, click Cancel to exit out of the window without exporting.
    After clicking Continue, the Complete Export window is displayed.

  4. In the Complete Export window, review the Export summary section. The details of the export are provided, as well as the ability to use your available unlocks with this export.
    When the checkboxes are selected in the Use available balance row, your export will use the unlocks included in your subscription plan.

  5. In the Purchase Summary section, you can quickly select or deselect the Phone Append and Email Append checkboxes to attach or remove phones and/or emails from this export.
    When a checkbox is selected, the data is included in the export.

  6. You may need to Add to Balance to be sure your export totals are covered. Step through the procedures, if necessary.

  7. Check the box acknowledging your acceptance that purchases of exports, phone appends, and email appends are final and non-refundable.

  8. When you are satisfied with your export selections, click Purchase. Otherwise, click Cancel if you want to make changes before exporting.

  9. In the Download Export window, select the file format for your export:
    - a Comma delimited (.csv) file, or
    - an Excel (.xlsx) file

  10. Click the Download button to export your file; the file is then downloaded to your computer.

Automations

You can set up Automations that include exporting phones and emails. Review the steps in Manage Property Data to purchase and append phones and/or emails.

Important Warning:

Remember that when you set up Automations, you could be making selections to automatically call or email thousands of contacts, which could lead to a significant purchase from PropertyRadar.

Please be aware of the potential costs of your alerts and automations.
